Announcing the launch of 'THE MANAGEMENT'

A new representation service for production and crew

However large or small the production, the key aspect of any producer's job is to ensure they have the right crew with the correct skills. Similarly, the key aspect of any crew member is that they are employed for the best productions, and that their time is coordinated not just for that but the next job as well. Diarising appointments and times is a perennial difficulty when jobs are always in different regions, or countries.

The Management is a dynamic new web-based membership service that has been launched to evolve a better and more proactive link between production companies and crew members. Run by Lisa Kaye, an ex-production manager, the new business has evolved because they identified a gap in the marketplace that their business and many established contacts could fulfil.

Lisa Kaye, partner in the management says:
'Having worked hands-on in the industry on both sides, I felt that there was no service that could fulfil the joint needs of production and crew. From camera, sound and all the necessary services that are required to make a production happen, lots of wasted time is taken finding the right people. Using the management, we can match-make all elements to ensure that productions are allocated the right people with the right skills, and vice versa for crew. The management offers a new ethos, and it is in our interests to provide the right people and productions, as beneficial working relationships between production and crew will ensure better business for us all in the future.'

The Management is not an agency, nor a diary service. It provides objective opinions regarding the crew it represents and will always discuss suitability and rates, given dates and requirements. As repeat business is tantamount to the management service, its staff will always spend time to ensure the right people and skills are matched. Crew members can upload their information through the management website and with an affordable membership fee; their details can be accessed by production teams, not only in the UK but around the world.

By ensuring a global calendar is updated on a daily basis, the management can take the time and effort out of booking crew, while crew members can be assured of a proactive service that ensures their respective needs are met.
